Saber, a fisherman living on Qursaya Island in the heart of the Nile in Cairo, meets a photographer who is investigating the legend of the "Bride of the Nile." As the photographer delves deeper into his research, he uncovers other nighttime activities the fishermen are involved in. Together with the community of fishermen on the island, they try to revive an old ritual connected to the myth of the Bride of the Nile to celebrate Nile Day, but in a different and contemporary way.

Giza Zoo, the first zoo in Africa, was founded by the British colony. At Giza Zoo, zookeepers have worked for over 36 years, with some having been there for at least 10 years. They have managed to build strong bonds with the animals despite the challenging circumstances for both the workers and the animals. In this story, I am researching and sharing the experiences of the zookeepers and the animals.

Stomata IHE Delft The Hague & Delft, Nederland www.un-ihe.org/ From Tes Abay waterfalls in Ethiopia, the largest source of the Nile, to the winding path of the Nile in Egypt, flowing towards the Mediterranean Sea, to the intricate canal systems of the Netherlands, the vast expanse of the North Sea, the gentle touch of rainwater, and even the tap water, my fascination with water has always carried me to places where its presence is felt. “Stomata" is a spiritual journey driven by my fascination with water. It explores the diverse surfaces and depths of water, including microscopic observations and the remarkable plants that rely on it. Stomata, tiny openings on leaves and stems, play a crucial role in gas exchange and water regulation for plants. They enable photosynthesis, allowing carbon dioxide in and releasing oxygen. Moreover, stomata act as guardians, regulating the loss of water vapor through the intricate mechanism of transpiration. In moments of reflection, don't we all need our own "stomata"? Just as plants embrace the balance of gas exchange and water conservation.

2021Horses fly business class Boek Knesebeck Olaf Koens & Roger Anis Duitsland www.kulturkaufhaus.de/de/detail/ISBN-9783957284747/Koens-Olaf/Pferde-fliegen-Businessclass In Aleppo, fighting is stopped to allow zoo animals to be brought to Turkey for free. In the Arabian Gulf, thousands of horses are flown to a less warm country when it is too hot for them. Animals from a zoo in the Gaza Strip are evacuated because of the miserable conditions in which they live, while the border is hermetically sealed to people. In the Gulf States, in glittering cities like Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi, falcons, dromedaries and horses are treated better than the millions of Pakistani or Indian migrant workers who work there. Animals stay in air-conditioned stables, people live in shipping containers full of bunk beds. And how is it possible that birds are suspected of espionage and have to await their fate in prison?
